Ruth B. Beck, 90, died at her home, in a peaceful state, on April 2nd at 1:38 AM.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 5, 1922 to Edna Schlebecker Vest and George Kingsley Vest.
Her parents and brother, Vernon Vest, predeceased her, as did her husbands, Louis J. Bobilya and Carl W. Beck.
She graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne and attended Indiana University.
Ruth and her three children moved to Bloomington in 1956.
She was instrumental in the early expansion of the IU Credit Union and then managed Beck Analytical Services for 25 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her three children, Jerry Bobilya, of Black Mountain, NC; Becky Bobilya Gregory, of Bloomington, IN, and Barbara Bobilya Beck Bashour of Beirut, Lebanon; step-children, Carl W. Beck, Jr. of Boston, MA, and Stefan Beck of Elko, NV; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
